غرباء و انتِ وطن
غرباء و انتِ وطن
We Are Strangers, and You Are Home
Original Acrylic on Canvas
9 × 12 inches
2026
$650
This painting is devoted to Sayyida Fatima az-Zahra (peace be upon her)—the motherly presence to whom the weary heart returns for tenderness, protection, and belonging.
The resting figure represents each of us in moments of grief, loneliness, displacement, or spiritual exhaustion. Held beneath the golden light, she finds refuge in the embrace of Sayyida Fatima az-Zahra: the mother who gathers us when we feel like strangers and cares for us when we need her most.
Her face is intentionally left undefined—not as an absence, but as an expression of sacred reverence. Her presence is recognized through the comfort she offers, the light surrounding her, and the peace of resting safely in her care.
غرباء وأنتِ وطن speaks of a homeland beyond geography. When the world leaves us feeling alone, her love becomes shelter. Her presence becomes belonging.
We are strangers—and you are home.
This is a one-of-one original painting by Lebanese American artist Marwa Hachem. Signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Unframed. Shipping is calculated separately.
